Rack Protection

We have a wide range of rack protection to suit the customers requirements.
Row end protection includes our standard E rail comprising 2 or 3 standard steel protectors with an E rail bolted to it and our heavy duty pipe barrier manufactured from 100nb pipe with a 4mm wall thickness.

Frame protection includes our standard steel frame protectors as well as our clip on HDPE thermoplastic protectors (see the information brochure). The advantage of this protector is that no drilling is required into the concrete floor and should a segment be damaged, then only that segment needs to be replaced.

Over and above this we have spigot feet to add extra robustness to the lower section of the upright as well as an even more robust pedestal.

Rack protection is a critical component of warehouse and industrial safety measures, designed to safeguard racking systems, equipment, and personnel from potential accidents and damage. Racking systems, such as pallet racks and shelving units, are essential for efficient storage, but they are susceptible to various risks, including impacts from forklifts, pallet jacks, and other moving equipment. Rack protection solutions aim to prevent or minimize the impact of such incidents, reducing the likelihood of structural damage, product loss, and workplace injuries.

One common type of rack protection is the installation of guardrails or bollards around the perimeter of racking systems. These physical barriers create a buffer zone, acting as a first line of defense against collisions. Guardrails are strategically positioned to absorb and distribute the force of impacts, preventing direct contact with the racking structure. Bollards, often placed at the end of aisles or in high-traffic areas, serve a similar purpose by providing a protective barrier against accidental impacts.

End-of-aisle protectors, also known as rack end guards or rack upright protectors, are specifically designed to shield the vulnerable ends of pallet racking. These protectors are installed at the ends of rack rows, safeguarding the uprights from damage caused by forklifts or other equipment during loading and unloading operations. By reinforcing these critical points, end-of-aisle protectors help preserve the structural integrity of the entire racking system.
